Facts and Questions about the 2012 Yoga Teacher Training:

Q. What kind of yoga will I be trained to teach?
A. Ashley specializes in vinyasa or flow yoga while Katie's focus is a slower hatha class.  The teacher training will cover the basics of safe and integrated yoga asana whether you are teaching hatha or vinyasa.  The training will also teach you about universal principles of sequencing whether you wish to practice or teach vinyasa or hatha yoga. 

Q. How much homework will be assigned?
A. Katie and Ashley will be helping you develop and sustain a home practice. They will also be assigning reading and writing exercises throughout the training. Katie's and Ashley's classes at 7th Heaven are included in the price of the training and you are required to attend at least one public class a week. Also, you will have the opportunity to teach practice classes at 7th Heaven.

Q. I am not very good at yoga asana and I don't want to teach, can I still attend? 
A. This program is designed to deepen the personal practice of whomever has the spark of interest to attend.  There are no asana prerequisites other than a genuine interest and desire to travel the path of yoga.  Many of the students enroll with no intention of teaching, but with the desire to dive into the practice of yoga.

Q. How does the payment plan work?
A. 7th Heaven uses a scheduling and payment program called "MindBody Online" that allows us to set up a payment schedule that will be directly deducted from your credit card or bank account on the date you choose every month. It will should up on your statement at "7th Heaven Yoga". Because of this program, we require that you have a credit card or debit card that you will make your payments from, sorry we can not take checks each month unless they are post marked and given to us all at one time. After you apply and are accepted to the program you will receive a contract to look over that pertains to the payment plan.

Q. Will I be ready to teach as soon as I graduate?
A. We will do everything we can to assist your growth during the training but this will depend on your individual desires and skill level. A part of the training is donation based classes on 7th Heaven's schedule each week taught by the students in this training. The more you take advantage of this the more you will be prepared for a real life class experience.
