Acupuncture Naturopathy Massage Lymphatic Drainage Esthetician

Bina Jangda
Bina Jangda, MSOM, LAc, received her master’s degree from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College-Berkeley.  She is a licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist and Facial Rejuvenation Practitioner.  Previous to receiving her degree, Bina lived and worked primarily in Asia where she studied and taught yoga and meditation.   It was first in South Korea and then Thailand that she came into contact with Chinese Medicine.  Coming from a family of Western medical professionals, she had an affinity to the medical arts.  Chinese medicine resonated with her own philosophy that medicine should treat the whole person not just the symptoms.

Bina specializes in acute and chronic pain, pre-natal and post-natal care, and facial rejuvenation.  She was awarded “Best of San Francisco 2009” by SF Weekly for the facial rejuvenation technique she has developed.   Her work has appeared on ABC “View from the Bay,” KRON4  “Body Beautiful,”  and in Tathaastu Magazine.  Believing in the power of education, Bina lectures regularly on the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.  It’s through an understanding of the medicine that her patient’s can become active participants in their own healing.

Ida
Ida Friedman, Lymphatic Drainage Therapist/Esthetician,
was born and raised in New York.  Both her mother and grandmother had strong interests in health and nutrition and instilled in her a deep curiosity and desire to help people. It was only natural that she would gravitate to massage therapy and skin care. She studied Swedish massage and Shiatsu at The Swedish Institute and received her massage license in 1989. While working in Florida at a vegetarian health resort, Ida attended the Fort Lauderdale Institute of Holistic Skin Care and received her Esthetics license in 1992.

After independently studying health and nutrition for many years, Ida attended Bauman College, in California and  became certified as a Nutrition Educator. This allowed her to combine all of her different passions and treat her clients holistically.

Recently, Ida continued her education by attending the Vodder School becoming certified as a Lymph Drainage Therapist. “Manual Lymph Drainage” is used to increase the movement of lymph fluid. This has beneficial effects on the immune system and speeds healing after injury or surgery.
