Bill was introduced to Yoga in the early nineties as a means of enhancing breathing technique in his role as a trumpet player and soon after recognized it's capacity to reduce stress and generate peace of mind. Over the years, he has enjoyed the opportunity to practice a rich variety of Yoga styles, including, Flow, Ashtanga, Anusara and Iyengar, weaving elements of each into his Vinyasa Flow Classes. Bill is a devoted student of the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga, recognizing the intrinsic connection between, Yoga asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath control) and meditation (dhyana), and, continues to explore the Yoga Sutras the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and other Yoga Shastras.

Bill, believes that Yoga is a way of connecting to the peace, wisdom and health that lies within each one of us; that it is at once, conceptually profound and naturally simple. It can benefit anyone regardless of physical, mental or spiritual state and inform every aspect of our lives, on and off the mat.

Since 2003, Bill has been an active member of the Bay Area Yoga Community attending classes and workshops by some of the foremost local and international teachers, including, Sri Patthabi Jois, Rodney Yee, Godfrey Devareaux, Dennis Eagan and Clayton Horton. He teaches at World Yoga in Walnut Creek, 7th Heaven Yoga in Berkeley and previously at Greenpath Yoga Studio in San Francisco where he completed his last teacher training under the direction of Clayton Horton and David Lurey. He continues to attend classes with as many of the Bay Area's plethora of talented and dedicated yoga instructors as possible and practices asana, pranayama and meditation at home under the guidance of his canine guru.

Bill is available for private and group classes.
