Julie Rappaport sources her teaching from classical yoga and contemporary movement studies and has trained both in India and in the West. Influences include breath-based viniyoga (Desikachar), ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar and inner-body yoga. A practitioner for many years, Julie began teaching in 1989 at Jivamukti in New York City. Julie's training in Indian music, Authentic Movement, and the arts impacts her teaching. She holds an M.A. in Psychology, and has a private practice in psychotherapy (LMFT) and yoga therapy, and she teaches personalized yoga sessions for individuals. Julie is also a writer, and the author of "365 Yoga, Daily Meditations" (Penguin Books) which is available for purchase at the 7th Heaven bookstore or online.
